Speeding traffic

Reported via mobile in the Concern about speeding traffic category anonymously at 17:34, Thursday 29 May 2025

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

Speeding traffic is a huge concern on marbles way KT20 5LQ. The main problem I have is buses & larger vehicles travelling at speed is shaking my house & every house on this road. Many of us complaining of beds shaking which is waking us up to mirrors, radiators, pictures etc all rattling & shaking when vehicles go by at speed. I dread to think what damage this is doing to properties. I contacted Surrey high ways ref 225496 who inspected the road & found no damage/pot holes to the road. Their suggestion was to reduce the speed from 30 down to 20 and to contact the bus company which I have also done. Speed humps would only make the shaking worse so feel a speed reduction would help immensely and would also keep the community & animals safe from speeding traffic. It is a long open stretch of road where people easily pick up too much speed. Please could the speed limit be revised & reduced to 20mph
