Access, due to building works at the Old Crown, causing problems on pavement

Reported via desktop anonymously at 22:37, Friday 30 May 2025

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

Alterations at the Crown in the High Street, Bookham are gathering pace. Scaffolding on the building along with protective fencing, which has closed pedestrian access across the forecourt, is making access in that area difficult particularly for anyone in wheelchairs or disability buggies. The pavement, at that point in the High Street, has a dangerous camber. Today a lady in her wheelchair was almost catapulted out of her wheelchair while trying to manoeuvre herself.
