No view right to traffic from Polesden Road
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown hedge blocking views into traffic category anonymously at 21:33, Sunday 8 June 2025
Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.
Pedestrians, cyclists and horseriders using the margin along the west side of Dorking Road, and wishing either to cross Polesden Road into Chapel Lane, or to cross to Admirals Road, have no view right of traffic approaching from Polesden Road, and vice versa. This might have been fine when there were give-way lines on Polesden Road at the junction, but since priority has been reassigned (admittedly some years ago), there now is no reason for traffic from Polesden Road to slow, and no safe way to cross.
