Speed bumps on School Lane Addlestone

Reported via desktop in the Road safety improvement category anonymously at 16:28, Monday 9 June 2025

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

The existing speed bumps have worn down over the years. Because of this, vehicles can cross them without having to slow down sufficiently. Therefore, School Lane is becoming a 'rat run' again. Would it be possible to either repair these or lay some rubberised speed bumps in addition? Many children walk or cycle on this road every day during school terms and are being placed in significant danger. There is also a major problem with parked vehicles during pick up and drop off times - almost the entire school end of School Lane and the top end of Simplemarsh Rd. - causing issues with passing vehicles being forced to mount the pavement. I have witnessed it on many occasions when young children are walking inches from moving vehicles of all sizes. Some enforcement is required.
